MMORPG Info Logo Shadow Odyssey Quick Start Guide

The Shadow Odyssey is here! The Game Update 50 patch notes are live and the servers should be available for play shortly. Raring to go but don’t want to see the spoilers? Here’s the information you need to get started without giving away any endings. I’ll race you to the Moors!

Travel to the new zones

Head to Sinking Sands to the D.I.R.T.Y. Excavation Site where there is now an airship which will take you to the overland zone Moors of Ykesha.

Moors of Ykesha is an overland zone packed solid with quests aimed at 70+ so if you are on your own and want to dive straight in, this is the place to be.

While you are there, be sure to make future travel easier by harvesting the bush at the druid ring.

Groups of adventurers will no doubt be rushing to take a look at the new dungeons spread out all over Norrath. These dungeons offer heroic missions as well as raid instances.

There are three dungeons which scale their content for adventuring groups ranging from levels 50-80. The entrances are as follows:

  • Befallen in Commonlands
  • Miragul’s Phylactery in Everfrost
  • Najena in Lavastorm

There are an additional five static dungeons aimed at adventuring groups from 70-80.

  • Guk and The Void have entrances in the Moors of Ykesha
  • Nuroga and Veksar have entrances in the Fens of Nathsar
  • Mistmoore has an entrance in the Loping Plains

The EQ2 Wire has compiled this list of TSO Dungeons with Locations & Difficulty based on comments made by beta players and Ilucide.

  • There is now a Signature Quest aimed at crafters. Speak to Qho Augren in the Village of Shin, swimming in the pond at -30, 10,-113 for A Gathering Obsession (level 70)
  • Travel to the Moors of Ykesha and speak to Aymee Quickspoke at the airship landing spot. She has a level 50+ tradeskill quest to start you on your way with the new crafting factions in the Shadow Odyssey
  • Explore the brand new Tradeskill Group Instances. Once you’ve made yourself known to the Far Seas Trading Company through Aymee’s quest, head back to the old lands and explore the new tradeskill instances:
